The service brake must enable the driver to control the driving of the motor vehicle and make it decelerate and stop safely and effectively. The service brake must be controllable, and it must ensure that the driver can brake without leaving the steering wheel (or steering handle) with both hands on his seat.

1 All wheels of automobiles (except three wheeled automobiles), motorcycles and trailers shall be equipped with brakes.

2 The service brake must be applied to all wheels of motor vehicles (except three wheeled vehicles and tractor transport units).

 Braking distance and braking stability requirements

Lighting, signal devices and other electrical equipment

Three wheeled motor vehicles, tractor transport units and low-speed trucks equipped with single cylinder diesel engines shall be equipped with headlamps, front position lamps, rear position lamps, brake lamps, rear license plate lamps, rear reflectors and front and rear turn signal lamps. Front three wheeled motorcycles shall also be equipped with rear fog lamps. The light color of lighting and signal devices shall comply with the relevant provisions of GB 4785, and the number, location, minimum geometric visibility angle, etc. shall refer to GB4785.
